This section explains Opera's menu options.

Open

Web page
Enter a new Web address or the nickname of a bookmark.
Typed URLs
Display a list of previously entered addresses.
Bookmarks
Opens the bookmark manager
Home page
Takes you to your home page, which can be defined under "General" in "Settings"
History list
Displays a list of recently visited Web pages

Image

The "Image" menu option is only visible when an image is focused.

Windows

The "Windows" menu option is only visible when multiple windows are open.

Switch windows
Set focus to previous window.
Close window
Close current window.
Back
Go back to previously visited Web page.
Forwards
Go forwards in history of visited Web pages.
Reload page
Download Web page again. Erases any tags you have set on the page.
Stop loading
Discontinue download of Web page.
Tags
Display sub-menu for tags:
Set tag
Set a tag at current position in page.
Go to next
Go to the next tag you have set on the active page.
Clear all tags
Erase all. This will also happen automatically when reloading the page.
Add bookmark
Adds current Web-page address to your Bookmarks
Select images
Activate to be able to focus all loaded images. When deactivated, only images that contain links can be focused.

Display

Full screen: On/Off
Use entire screen to view Web pages
Fit to screen: On/Off
When enabled, this setting reformats Web pages to fit the screen size. When disabled, pages will be displayed in full format as on a desktop browser.
Zoom
Zoom in or out on page

Tools

Search
Search the Web directly with Google, or search for text in current Web page
Delete private data
Erase browsing information — cache, entered Web addresses, visited Web addresses and cookies
Downloads
Opens the download manager
Send URL as
Send current Web address as SMS, MMS, or as an e-mail message
Page info
Information about current Web page, for example title, security level, size, and address
Help
Opens Opera's help files
About
Displays version information

Settings

Opera's settings control the browser's handling of Web pages elements, cache, privacy and more.

Exit

Stop surfing and close Opera.

Manage bookmarks

An "Edit bookmark" entry and this sub-menu will appear in Options when the bookmark manager is displayed.

Delete
Deletes selected bookmark or folder.
New bookmark
Creates a new bookmark.
New folder
Creates a new bookmark folder.
Move to folder
Moves bookmark to another location.
Send URL as
Send bookmarked Web address as SMS, MMS, or as e-mail message.

Manage downloads

These entries will appear in Options when the download manager is displayed.

Stop
Interrupts current download.
Resume
Continues an interrupted download (if supported by server).
Open/install
Runs selected file.
Delete
Deletes selected file.
